EMT STX 20
When EMT launched the XSD15 (the version of the TSD15 with international connection) only very few equalizer amplifiers were equipped with an MC input. To offer customers a possibillity to use their XSD15 with an MM input the transformer combination STX 20 was developed. It used the same transormers which had been proven in the equalizer amplifiers EMT 155 and EMT 153 (for EMT 930 and EMT 927). You may here see the diagram of the STX 20.
Since years the STX 20 is not longer under production but is sometimes offered as used unit. I offer an improved version as transformer combination STC. It is equipped with gold plated RCA sockets by Neutrik. On request it is made with cables to save contacts.
You may find on the market a similar product called STX 21. The name was clever choosen as it makes believe that is the successor of the EMT ST 20. But, in contrary to the EMT STX 20 the STX 21 is not a product of EMT.
